Estúdio Ofício finally has its own online home!
Estúdio Ofício now has its own website! After a few weeks of work, we’re excited to share what we’ve been creating in the studio over the last four years. We’re amazed by how much new work we’ve done for so many clients in such a short time!
Here’s some background. We started the studio when my consulting and strategic design clients began asking for help with creative direction and brand strategy. At first, we brought in freelance designers for art direction. Near the end of the Covid era, Alice and I decided to bring both Ofício (our consultancy brand before it became the studio’s name) and Saber Fazer together under one company. We welcomed Maria Helena—a long-time friend and Saber Fazer collaborator—as our in-house art director, graphic designer, and marketing consultant. Her role has also been key to Saber Fazer’s book publishing and editorial projects.
As more projects came in from different areas, it became hard to manage everything—consulting, graphic design, and EU projects—under one brand. So, just over a year ago, we created Barbot Bernardo, using our company name as a formal brand for consulting, strategic design, and EU project management. Ofício, with a more relaxed feel, stayed as the name for our design studio.
Today, Ofício’s four-person team is a key part of our family business, which has many sides. Our operations and clients are becoming more independent from the rest of the company. Barbot Bernardo’s consulting clients still bring new projects to the studio, and our team works every day on Saber Fazer’s editorial and communication work. We’re also seeing more new clients coming to the studio just for design and communication, recognizing the effort the team has been putting into every project and the quality of the work we have been doing!
