Fostering sustainable value chains in the craft sector through blockchain and digital skills
The TransparencyChain project aims to make blockchain-based provenance tracking accessible to craftspeople from different backgrounds through vocational education and training.
By developing a scalable platform and providing training, the project will enhance transparency in the craft sector, ensuring ethical sourcing and sustainable production.
The project will also foster digital skills, helping craftspeople improve their market competitiveness through digital marketing strategies.

TransparencyChain is an Erasmus+ funded project that aims to make blockchain-based provenance tracking accessible to craftspeople from diverse backgrounds.
TransparencyChain will research the needs of the craft sector,develop a blockchain-based provenance tracking platform, and create educational materials.
A pilot programme will take place in Portugal where the project experts will train 4 educators and involve 30 to 40 craftspeople and suppliers using the new platform.

Barbot Bernardo / Saber Fazer
Barbot Bernardo offers innovation and education services for culture and creativity, urban transition and sustainable production.
Saber Fazer, a Barbot Bernardo unit, is an educational project and offers research and education services in artisanal and semi-industrial techniques, focusing on natural textile fibre production and processing.
They are the coordinators of the project and will be responsible for the research, content development and the pilot programme.
Originn Creative Hub
Originn is a Creative Hub operating in İzmir, Türkiye. Designed to foster innovation, the space brings together entrepreneurs, companies, freelancers, and creative communities. Originn offers space and community building and delivers tech solutions,
including blockchain and other cutting-edge tech. This emphasis on tech aligns with a mission of fostering innovation across cultural, creative, and impact sectors.
They will develop the Blockchain Platform and all the related research, learning materials and training. They are also responsible for the dissemination plan and communication strategy of the project.
Loonatiks Design Crew
Loonatiks Design Crew, is a Doric order typographic based graphic design studio located in Athens, Greece, offering services such as art direction, branding, brand strategy, web design, motion graphics, packaging design and graphic design.
They are in charge of developing the project visual identity, and design of the learning contents, website and the Blockchain Platform.
