Small things, big changes.

This post is a visual tale about how we helped Tiago rethink his Hakko House, a small cafe and restaurant in the heart of Bombarda, Porto’s Art District.

When we started, early this year, there were many questions to be answered.

  • How do you connect more with the local crowds?

  • How can we improve processes, be more productive and lower the prices?

  • How can you have a consistently delicious offering, from lunch menus to takeaway pastries and coffee?

  • How to seat more people and improve comfort at the same time?

  • How to make it feel like home?

After four working sessions, Tiago immediately introduced small improvements to the restaurant.

The most visible happened last week, with a total reshuffle of the restaurant layout, finding more seating space, bringing the bar to the front, and opening the massive window to the street.

It took just a few days for the once almost invisible cafe to transform the end of Rua do Rosario into a vibrant spot.
